About The Native Concern:

I came to Canada in May 2024 for my education after studying BSc IT for a year in India. The university there wasn’t great—it was inside a mall—which reinforced my desire to study abroad. Initially, I pursued Computer Science but later switched to Industrial Systems Engineering, which I enjoy much more. However, holding a part-time job has been challenging. Either employers don’t pay me and let me go, or I struggle to meet their working standards. I’m confident in my skills, but during job trials, I become overly conscious of making mistakes, which leads to more errors. A common criticism is that I appear lost and disorganized, making it hard for me to thrive in fast-paced environments like restaurants and bars. Now, I need a job to pay my university fees, but opportunities are limited. Given my struggles, how should I approach job hunting to find a role where I can perform well?.
