About The Native Concern:

Currently I am a software engineer in an American MNC but because of my increased interest in stock market and finance sector I want to switch to investment banking or research analyst roles in financial institutions. For this I will be sitting in CAT exam in 2025. I would like to know whether this will be a good career switch for me and whether it will be fruitful for me to give CAT this year. I am concerned as I am losing interest in my current job and also anxious at the same time whether I will be able to get into good IIMs via CAT to get into the investment banking or research analyst progression. Also I have another query, because of my interest in stock market I have started studying about different companies and their business models and started investing for long term in the stock market, wanted to know if long term investing is favorable for me.
