My educational background: B.E in computer science, Master’s in applied data science, and exposure to product management certifications Career: Started as a software engineer, moved to working in the space of data science (which I wanted to), as I was getting my masters I ended up having to go away from working in data science and at the start of this year, I am working in the tech space which kinda diverts my expected trajectory. A similar thing happened when I decided to pursue a certification in another space too. At points it was more like the stuff I start preparing for, is what I didn’t end up working on due to sudden changes that were out of my purview. - What is currently happening in my career and why is it the case? What should I be acting on/avoiding/preparing for during this time? - Based on where I am currently in my career and current financial standing what will the scale of my growth be and over what period will that happen? - Should I consider pursuing an MBA this year? or should I be considering it at all? - Is an online learning option better or should I consider leaving my job and going abroad to pursue the degree? - What position in my career will I be in, in the next 1, 5, 10 years? - Over the next 5 years (in as much detail as possible) I would like to know near precise timings for major positives/challenges in my career - What kind of guidance in terms of mentors will I have for the duration of my career? - I am currently working in the software space in a semiconductor company and I like the field in general (not quite satisfied with the current setup of work though) why is that the case?. In the long term I would like to be involved in the business side of things. How would that shape up for me?
