Career : I strongly feel that I am not doing justice to my potential. I want to know what is the purpose of my life. I want to create impact at a much larger scale and wish to work for organizations like the United Nations / World Bank / consultant to the government of India. Is this possible? Any timelines? Also, I have a strong desire to learn various subjects. e.g. At this point in time I want to learn public policy as that can help me get into policy making, at the same time I want to learn data science to be able to get better job opportunities and make financial gains, I also want to do a certification in Environmental Social and governance investing to be able to add sustainability as my skill set as that is one of the focus areas of United Nations. In addition to all these, I have a deep desire to learn astrology purely out of curiosity and to understand the limitations of my life. This uncontrolled desire to learn multiple things simultaneously leaves me highly confused. What profession is suitable for me? I have also been wanting to change industry (currently working for mutual funds), is that possible? I want to be known for my knowledge, and simultaneously I want to be able to make an impact in the life of others. Should I pursue a PhD? If yes, any particular subject? Should I register an NGO on the side? In future is there any scope of working for myself / having a business of my own. Any guidance on how to take my career forward (corporate/ public policy/academia/ business/NGO) will be helpful.
