I have done B. tech in Aeronautical Engg., batch of 2019. I am working as Aero-engine Cost Engineer at Infosys from past 2 years. I'm fairly satisfied with the nature of work and the work environment, however I haven't received any salary hikes over this period, or any major promotions inspite of doing great work. Is there any prospect for career growth in my current job role/company, or would you suggest me to consider other opportunities? My interest is in core Aero research and development, also fond of hands-on(design and manufacturing). In the past, I tried to get a job role in alignment with my interest and passion, but somehow I always get inducted into other roles. I am currently upskilling myself, revising softwares and engg. syllabus so that I can get the work role I love. Do you suggest me to try for higher studies, or my career progression will be good and as per my wish in the near future? I would really appreciate and thank you immensely if you could guide me. People around me(Parents and relatives) feel that I'm not doing a great career, that's another reason for requesting this consultation.
